[edit source]- Hay Kranen first Dutch Wikipedian-in-residence
In May 2013 the KB and NA, in collaboration with the Dutch chapter of the Wikimedia Foundation, started a recruitment campaign (page in Dutch) to find the first Dutch Wikipedian-in-Residence. This person will act as the linking pin between the rich (paper and digital) collections of the KB and NA and the reuse of this content on Wikipedia, Wikimedia Commons and Wikisource. An initiator, coordinator and facilitator of projects and events that will expand and reinforce the collaboration between KB, NA and the GLAMwiki-community. This will lay the foundations for a more durable relation between KB, NA and projects of Wikimedia.
After a selection and interview procedure in June we are happy to announce Hay Kranen as the first Wikipedian-in-residence in the Netherlands. Hay started his work on 7th October and will finish in July 2014. Find out more about Hay....

About these pages
[edit source]This is the central place on the English language Wikipedia for the collaboration between the Koninklijke Bibliotheek (KB, national library of the Netherlands) & the Nationaal Archief (NA, national archives of the Netherlands) and the Wiki community.
This site is a derivative of the 'master' site in Dutch. We'll try to keep the English information here as synced as possible with the Dutch master site.
- The main component of this collaboration is the Wikipedian-in-Residence project the KB en NA are currently setting up.
- During the collaboration the KB and NA organize all sorts of events, often coordinated by their Wikipedian-in-Residence Hay Kranen. Hay will also present the project during conferences, seminars, workshops and other events. Furthermore the GLAMwiki coordinators of KB and NA will visit Wiki-events in the country and abroad to stay in touch with the Wiki-community and to keep their knowledge about the Wiki-universe up-to-date. We maintain an overview of events we organized and visited under the tab Events & meetings
- Under the tab Presentations & documents you can find the presentations given in relation to this project. Here you can also find articles, background documents, brochures, folders etc.
- The hard and soft result of the collaboration you can find under the tab Results
- The tab Data and collections KB and NA offers an overview of the (digital) resources from KB and NA that Wikipedians can use to improve Wikipedia, Commons or Wikisource.
