  • Jat history (1669–1858) (history · last edit) from (see article's talk page). (There are more examples at the creator's talk page. This may bear further evaluation in terms of other articles. Several following articles are by this same contributor, and I have noted a few others that may have been cleaned up since he placed content into them. If there is not strong reason to believe this content is copyright free presented, I believe we'll need to open a CCI.) Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:25, 13 November 2010 (UTC)
  • Farmers' movements in India (history · last edit) from was founded with content copied from The Encyclopedia Indica (see article talk). (same contributor as above) Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:52, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

This article was founded with content copied from The Encyclopedia Indica. For an example of copying, compare the following from the article:

Governor of Bombay ignored the request made by Patel to reduce taxes but reciprocated by announcing the date of collection. Patel then instructed all the farmers of Bardoli taluka to refuse payment of their taxes. Aided by Parikh, Vyas and Pandya, he divided Bardoli into several zones - each with a leader and volunteers specifically assigned. Patel also placed some Gujarati activists close to the government, to act as informers on the movements of government officials. Patel instructed the farmers to remain completely non-violent, and not respond physically to any incitements or aggressive actions from officials. He reassured them that the struggle would not end until not only the cancellation of all taxes for the year, but also when all the seized property and lands were returned to rightful owners.

With the source:

But the Governor ignored the letter, and reciprocated by announcing the date of collection. Above all, Patel instructed the farmers to remain completely non-violent, and not respond physically to any incitements or aggressive actions from officials. He reassured them that the struggle would not end until not only the cancellation of all taxes for the year, but also when all the seized property and lands were returned to rightful owners.

Other sources may also have been copied, and copying from this one was more extensive than that. (See [4], [5].) Unless this content can be verified to be free for reuse, the article will need to be rewritten, as it remains a derivative work. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:50, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

This article seems to have been constructed with content copied from this 1989 book. For a few examples, see:

We need to verify that this content is free to be reused in order to publish this article, which still contains most of its foundational text. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:35, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

This article was created with content copied from various books. For example:

Unless we can verify that the sources identified and any others so used are public domain or compatibly licensed, this article will need to be replaced with content written from scratch. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:04, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

  • Deleted. I cannot tell if it was a foundational copyio, but I have confirmed massive infringement introduced by the founding editor on the day of creation from this book. It may be that the foundational edit was original research which the creator attempted to supplement by copying massive quantities of text from other sources, or it may be that the foundational edit was also copied, and we simply have not identified the source. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:19, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
  • ? I only found a single sentence, but I removed it. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:38, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
  • File:Pictogram voting keep.svg Article cleaned by investigator or others. No remaining infringement. It has taken me, literally, hours to review this article, which was a total mess. See [17]. I am now checking articles to which content has been split, because the odds that the content is ours are pretty low. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 22:17, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
  • ? I didn't find any source, but i've redirected and asked for assistance from a wikiproject. It looks like a fork of Meiosis. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 23:00, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
