Mass G5 deletion
[edit source]Various redirects created by Washi189 (talk · contribs) to Nepal and UK-related pages should be speedy deleted per G5. I have already tagged all the redirects nominated at Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2025_November_20#President_of_the_United_Kingdom, which feature a misnomer for the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 20:50, 21 November 2025 (UTC)

Replace url to xxiamzius.lt
[edit source]Could someone replace ulrs to xxiamzius.lt to reflect their move of their old articles to an "archive". Search gives 201 links. I spot checked and looks like all that needs to happen is to replace "www" with "archyvas". For example:
- http://www.xxiamzius.lt/archyvas/xxiamzius/20040107/darb_01.html should be replaced with http://archyvas.xxiamzius.lt/archyvas/xxiamzius/20040107/darb_01.html
Should double check that the new url indeed works in all instances. Other things while at it:
- use https instead of http? I am not sure how it works.
- remove any dead url tags or Internet Archive links
Thank you! Renata•3 18:35, 28 November 2025 (UTC)
- Renata3, please post this at WP:URLREQ. — Qwerfjkltalk 12:13, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
Reformat of List of journalists killed in the Gaza war
[edit source]Please remove the bolding around peoples' names it is against MOS:BOLD for not being accessible, among other reasons. Please put !scope="row" on the journalists' names per MOS:DTAB. Also, please delete the extra | for the references, merging them into the description as it creates clutter. Thank you, User:Easternsaharareview this 01:06, 2 December 2025 (UTC)

You are invited to join the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Stub sorting § Is there a bot for this?. I have requests for replacing stub categories. They are listed in Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Stub sorting#Is there a bot for this?, and whether to make each replacement on a given page can be deduced from only knowing which categories that page is already in and which stub templates it already contains. (I should clarify that in the linked request list, by “all pages in,” I mean both directly in and indirectly in (i.e., in subcategories of).) Care to differ or discuss with me? Massive date format cleanup
[edit source]Massive cleanup of US politics/elections articles by Indylover2010, whom I caught using the incorrect date format for over a thousand articles they created in the area of American politics.
Change all the DMY dates to MDY and add the following at the header:
{{Use American English|date=December 2025}}
{{Use mdy dates|date=December 2025}}
with summary "mass cleanup per MOS:TIES/MOS:DATETIES". Mark these edits as minor. And if they already have both templates, skip them since it's not needed. ミラP@Miraclepine 16:41, 4 December 2025 (UTC)

Request: WikiProject banner to articles in a category
[edit source]All articles in this category Category:Books with missing cover (around 1700) should have the Template:WikiProject Books banner in their talk page.
If not present, the script should add it. It should also add the 'needs-infobox-cover=yes' flag to this banner either way.
I am not aware how to use AWB. Was directed here from this thread at Bot Requests. Would be grateful if someone can pick it up as a task. Cheers! Kingsacrificer (talk) 16:07, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Kingsacrificer Could you clarify the category that needs this work? aaronneallucas (talk) 16:42, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Aplucas0703: since you are on it, per the thread, it's probably Category:Books with missing cover, it's a wikilink error that make it invisible, which i fixed. Destinyokhiria 💬 18:23, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
- Yes, this is the correct category. I forgot to include the preceding colon when wikilinking it. Kingsacrificer (talk) 19:38, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Destinyokhiria Thanks for fixing that! @Kingsacrificer I'd happily do it, but I'm afraid AutoWikiBrowser doesn't yet have the appropriate script to perform this task (that I can access). You can try a bot request which often handles this kind of thing, or someone might be able to find the appropriate code to run in an AutoWikiBrowser module to make it work, which I could do manually (I'd still want to check that this was okay with your WikiProject before I undertook this kind of task). aaronneallucas (talk) 22:41, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Kingsacrificer I'm currently asking about a possible script for it. aaronneallucas (talk) 01:49, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
- I was sent to this page from the Bot Requests page.
- As for consent from the WikiProject, I could start a discussion and tag you in there, once we have the appropriate script.
- As I said, I've not used AWB before so I can't help you with the script myself. Kingsacrificer (talk) 05:07, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
- I can handle this for you. It seems uncontroversial, but starting a discussion to make sure there are no concerns would still be sensible, so please start one. – DreamRimmer ■ 09:17, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
- I will. Kingsacrificer (talk) 10:18, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
- Looks like someone else is going to help me learn how to do it! I can help you do it, just tag me when you get approval at your WikiProject. aaronneallucas (talk) 19:35, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
- @Kingsacrificer I'm ago for it. I have the settings configured and tested it on a few pages. It seems to be working. Just need WikiProject Books to give the greenlight for the mass tagging. Should be uncontroversial, but I want to be sure since it would require a lot of work to undo. aaronneallucas (talk) 00:18, 14 December 2025 (UTC)

- According to (this discussion), the articles in this category may belong to either WP:BOOKS or WP:NOVELS. We think it will not be possible to decide which is which without going through each article individually. Hence, it has been concluded that we won't be going ahead with this script.
- Thank you all for contributing to this discussion. Kingsacrificer (talk) 08:21, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
US Supreme Court case mass recategorization
[edit source]Several months ago the categorization scheme for United States Supreme Court cases changed, which has left a huge number of articles (>1000) still categorized using the old system. If someone could automatically transition the articles within the criteria below, it would be greatly appreciated :)
Outline of the old system:
• Category:United States case law by year • Category:YYYY in United States case law • Supreme Court cases • US Reports Volumes • Miscellany
Outline of the new system:
• Category:United States case law by year • Category:YYYY in United States case law • Category:United States Supreme Court cases in YYYY • Supreme Court cases • US Reports Volumes • Miscellany
Request:
Any pages that:
• Are categorized with Category:United States Supreme Court cases and a direct subcategory of Category:United States case law by year, and
• the title of which doesn't include "List of" (to avoid matching any miscategorized US Reports pages)
Should have the "YYYY in United States case law" category replaced with the matching "United States Supreme Court cases in YYYY" category. If the category does not exist, it should be made with the sole content "{{United States Supreme Court cases in}}".
See also my original proposal at the SCOTUS WikiProject.
Thanks! GTink911 (talk) 23:27, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
- This seems like something WP:CFDS would be better suited to handle, mainly due to size but also because a bot will do it automatically. Primefac (talk) 00:14, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
- Can CFDS handle the changing of categories on articles? My impression of that process is that it's for renames and deletions only. To be clear, this is mostly about changing the categorization of articles in bulk instead of renaming the categories themselves. GTink911 (talk) 01:27, 20 December 2025 (UTC)
