I'm using T-Mobile. How come I'm blocked even though I didn't do anything wrong?
This is because the way T-Mobile has configured its network makes it easy for disruptive users to continue causing disruption and difficult for administrators to stop them.
To explain in detail, T-Mobile uses what's called IPv6. The number of potential IPv6 addresses is significantly more than that of IPv4 addresses. A single person who disruptively edits cannot easily be identified because of the ability for them to change IP addresses quickly. Additionally, T-Mobile frequently assigns the same user different IP addresses over a wide range, which makes it difficult for administrators to stop a single disruptive user by blocking a smaller range.
Due to continuous disruptive edits from the range, and the reasons mentioned beforehand, administrators were left with no choice but to block the entire range of T-Mobile IP addresses. You may still edit from a T-Mobile device if you are logged in, but you cannot create an account from one. Why is Wikipedia discriminating against T-Mobile users?
Wikipedians are not "against" T-Mobile users. Editing anonymously from the address range is simply not allowed since as mentioned before, T-Mobile uses IPv6 and has configured its network in such a way that makes it easy for vandals to hop to another IP address to avoid a block, potentially continuing their actions. This makes it harder and more tedious for administrators to block them. Most Internet service providers instead assign users to a single IPv4 address, which is harder to change, more closely tied to a small group of users, and not generally configured to be assigned as much as IPv6 addresses.
When will T-Mobile users be allowed to edit anonymously and create accounts?
It is too soon to know when, if at all. The block logs show that it has been persistently blocked for long-term abuse and vandalism, and it is unlikely that it will be unblocked soon without T-Mobile making significant changes to how it configures its network. If you wish to edit, try the solutions provided in the main help page.
One of the options noted in the main help page is to "[ask] a trusted friend on a different network to create an account for you. Have them select the 'Use a temporary random password and send it to the specified email address' option." What if my friend doesn't know how to make a Wikipedia account or is unfamiliar with the website?
If your friend doesn't know how to make a Wikipedia account or is unfamiliar with the website, that's totally fine. You can try the other solutions.
