Mount Howe is a rural locality in the Maranoa Region, Queensland, Australia.[2] In the 2021 census, Mount Howe had a population of 20 people.[1]
Geography
[edit | edit source]The Great Dividing Range forms the north-east, east and south-east boundaries of the locality. The locality is within the Murray-Darling drainage basin, specifically within the catchment of the Balonne-Condamine Rivers. The terrain is mountainous with elevations ranging from 480 to 1,110 metres (1,570 to 3,640 ft) above sea level.[3]
The locality has the following mountains:

- Mount Springvale (Lua error: callParserFunction: function "#coordinates" was not found.) 845 metres (2,772 ft)[4][8]

There are three areas within the Eden State Forest in the centre of the locality (Lua error: callParserFunction: function "#coordinates" was not found.).[10] Apart from these, the land use is grazing on native vegetation.[10]
Demographics

In the 2021 census, Mount Howe had a population of 20 people.[1]
