In full, the monastery is known as the Monastery of the Veneration of the Chains of the Apostle Peter (Greek: Μονή προσκυνήσεως της αλύσεως του Αποστόλου Πέτρου, romanizedMoni Proskyniseos tis Alyseos tou Apostolou Petrou).[4]
