Specifications

[edit source]

The official colour specifications can be found at the website of Transport for London:[1] we use Pantone's own red/green/blue (RGB) values, because they are more stable than TfL's RGB and cyan/magenta/yellow/key (CMYK) values. In addition:

  • The colour for the East London line, when it was part of the London Underground, is Pantone 137.[2]
  • The colour for the former Hampstead Tube is red, based on their last known appearance on the tube map of 1923.[3]
  • The colour for the Fleet line was Pantone 431: Pantone 432 was too easy to confuse with the Northern line.

Full colour specifications, along with a list of sources used for its development, can be found at Template:London transit icons on the Wikimedia Commons.
