Meringa borealis is a species of Physoglenidae spider endemic to New Zealand.[1]
Taxonomy
[edit | edit source]This species was described in 1990 by Ray Forster from male and female specimens. The holotype is stored in Otago Museum.[1]
Description
[edit | edit source]The male is recorded at 3.36mm in length whereas the female is 2.00mm.[1]
Distribution
[edit | edit source]This species is only known from the North Island of New Zealand.[1]
Conservation status
[edit | edit source]Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Not Threatened".[2]
