La Portada Formation (Chile) | |
La Portada Formation (Spanish: Formación La Portada) is a geologic formation of Miocene and Pliocene age located near the Coast Range of northern Chile. The coarse-grained sandstones of the formation contain penguin fossils.[1][2]
