History

[edit | edit source]

KXWI began broadcasting in 2014[1] under the ownership of Stephen A. Marks,[5] through his Williston Community Broadcasting.[6] Marks already owned KDSR and KGCX in the area.[5]

Stephen Marks died on May 11, 2022.[7] Andrew Sturlaugson's P&A Media acquired Marks' Montana and North Dakota radio stations, including KXWI, KDSR, and KGCX, for $850,000 in 2024.[6]
