Issam Abdallah Saif Al-Sabhi (born 1 May 1997) is an Omani professional footballer who plays as a striker for Iraqi Stars League club Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and the Oman national team.
Club career
[edit | edit source]Al-Sabhi began his career with Al-Shabab's youth teams.[3][4] Al-Shabab finished as runners-up and won the Professional Cup in 2017/18 before being relegated after finishing twelfth in 2018/19.[5][6]
On 2 February 2022, Al-Sabhi joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Okhdood.[7] On 1 August 2022, Al-Sabhi rejoined former club Suwaiq, finishing the season as runners-up to Al-Nahda.[8][9]
On 22 July 2023, Al-Sabhi moved to 2022/23 League and Cup champions Al-Nahda.[10]
International career
[edit | edit source]Al-Sabhi began his international career with the U-23 team, before he debuted internationally on 10 October 2019 during a 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Afghanistan in a 3–0 victory.[3]
On 2 September 2021, Al-Sabhi scored his first goal for Oman against Japan in a 0–1 victory during World Cup qualifying.[11]
