Hamun County (Persian: شهرستان هامون) is in Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the city of Mohammadabad.[4]
History
[edit | edit source]In 2013, Shib Ab District was separated from Zabol County in the establishment of Hamun County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Mohammadabad as its capital.[4] After the 2016 National Census, Shahr-e Jadid-e Ramshar was elevated to the status of a city.[5]

[edit | edit source]At the time of the 2016 census, the county's population was 41,017 in 11,380 households.[2]
