"Fever for the Flava" is a song by American rock band Hot Action Cop. The line 'got the fever for the flava' was taken from a 1980 Pringles ad. The music video was directed by Marc Klasfeld.[1]

Critical reception

[edit | edit source]

Johnny Loftus of AllMusic described the song as "harmless, high-fiving fun," making note of its "ear-splitting guitars and muscular drum fills".[2] It was listed at number six on "The 50 Worst Songs of the 2000s" by The Village Voice.[3] Christopher Weingarten wrote that it was "a soft-R ode to screeching nonsense words that mean genitals."[3]
