Ferroxidase

Ferroxidase also known as Fe(II):oxygen oxidoreductase is an enzyme that catalyzes the oxidization of iron II to iron III:

4 Fe²⁺ + 4 H⁺ + O₂ ⇔ 4 Fe³⁺ + 2H₂O
