Muhammad Zahid As Shidqi (born 23 February 2009) is an Indonesian student leader and youth ambassador from West Java, Indonesia. He is best known as the Duta SMA Provinsi Jawa Barat 2025 (High School Ambassador of West Java 2025) and for his leadership in student-led social initiatives at Al Jannah Senior High School in Depok.

Early life and education

Zahid was born in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 23 February 2009. He attended Al Jannah Senior High School, a private high school known for its focus on student creativity and community engagement.

During his early school years, Zahid has spoken about experiencing bullying and struggling with shyness, which later shaped his advocacy for supportive and inclusive school environments. [1]

Career and activities

In 2025, Zahid was selected as High School Ambassador of West Java, representing students across the province. As ambassador, he promoted educational innovation, mental health awareness, and positive learning atmospheres in schools. He has also served as Chairperson of AJSSR 2025 (Al-Jannah Student Social Responsibility), a student-led fundraising and charity movement themed “From Students, by Students, for Society.” Under his leadership, the program raised Rp 95 million, surpassing its original goal of Rp 80 million.[2]

Advocacy and public views

Zahid is an advocate for what he calls a “sekolah ramah” (school-friendly) environment — one that allows students to make mistakes, express opinions freely, and view teachers as mentors as well as instructors. He has shared his own journey as motivation for other students to build confidence and kindness through resilience. [3]
