Slimer Records is an independent Italian record label and musical collective based in Vicenza, Italy. It was founded in the early 2010s by musicians Gianmarco Bergamin and Alberto Manfrin from Panda Kid band.[1][2][3]
History
[edit | edit source]Slimer Records has released music within the Italian underground music scene. Its releases have been covered by both independent and mainstream music publications, including Rolling Stone Italia.[4][5]
Throughout the late 2010s and 2020s, Slimer Records maintained a continuous release schedule and received coverage from independent and mainstream music publications, including RumoreMag, Vice Italia , OndaRock, Indie For Bunnies, ImpattoSonoro, Salad Days Magazine, and Manwell, which highlighted the label’s DIY ethos, and its contribution to the contemporary Italian underground music scene.[6][7][8]
Discographic activity
[edit | edit source]In 2025,Rolling Stone Italia covered the release of the single I by musician Alberto Almas, published by Slimer Records, highlighting its experimental approach and unconventional physical format within the underground music scene.[9]
In 2020, the Italian band Dead Visions, which includes actor and musician Francesco Mandelli, released the album A Sea of Troubles on Slimer Records. The album was recorded and mixed by Alberto Ferrari of Verdena.[10][11][12][13]
In the same year, Slimer Records also released the single Spalancate by the project ?Alos & Xabier Iriondo. Xabier Iriondo, known as a member of Afterhours, participated in the project. The release was issued in a limited physical edition and premiered by RumoreMag.[14]
Critical reception
[edit | edit source]Slimer Records has received coverage from independent and national music publications. Rolling Stone Italia highlighted a release by the label, noting its experimental approach and unconventional physical format.[15]
The independent music website Manwell.it has included releases by Slimer Records in its section dedicated to the “weird garage” scene, positioning the label within the broader alternative and experimental music circuit.[16]
