2024-present: Pinoy Big Brother, music and acting ventures

[edit | edit source]

In July 2024, Celmar was introduced as one of the contestants on the reality competition series Pinoy Big Brother: Gen 11, with the moniker "Cheerfu-Langga ng Cebu" (transl. Cheerful Beloved of Cebu).[3][4] She finished the season in second place.[5] In March 2025, Celmar was featured in the music video for BGYO's "Divine".[6] On May 30, she released her first extended play titled B Luvd (stylized in all lowercase).[1] It came with a solo concert, Meteor Rain!, held at the SM North EDSA Skydome on the same day of the EP launch.[7] Elijah Pareño of Rolling Stone Philippines criticized the event, pointing out that Celmar was a very new artist at the time. He wrote that the decision to give Celmar a solo concert before she had released any original music indicated that concerts were no longer about art, but bankability.[7]

On November 29, her 19th birthday, Celmar was unveiled as one of Star Hunt Academy's idol trainees.[1] In December, she released a cover of the 2015 song "Thank You For The Love", which also featured Kai Montinola and Kolette Madelo.[8]
