Kristjan Bendra (born January 30, 2006) is a Slovenian footballer. He plays as defender for the Austrian Bundesliga club Sturm Graz.
Club career
[edit | edit source]Bendera spent the early part of his career at local club Steyr. In April 2014 he moved to SK Vorwärts Steyr. He joined the Red Bull Salzburg academy in February 2020.
For the 2024–25 season Bendra moved into the squad of the farm team FC Liefering.[1]. He made his debut in the 2. Liga with Liefering in August 2024. He came on as a substitute for Leandro Morgalla at halftime on the first matchday of that 2024–25 season.
In May 2025, he was recruited by SK Sturm Graz and joined their reserve team[2][3]. In September 2025, he made his debut for Sturm Graz's first team in the Austrian Bundesliga[4]
International career
[edit | edit source]Bendra played for a Slovenian youth national team for the first time in April 2022. He took part in the European Championship in 2023 with the U-17 team[5]. Slovenia was eliminated from the tournament in the group stage. Bendra played in all three games.
