Fictionz is an American podcast production studio founded in 2021 by Greg Lawrance[1][2][3] and Kendall Morgan[1][2][3] (who was previously credited in the press as Kendall Rhodes, her former married name).[4] The studio produces scripted audio dramas focused on literary adaptations and genre storytelling,[1][5] and has received industry recognition, including a nomination for "Best Fiction Podcast" at The Ambies[6] and a Silver Signal Award for scripted fiction.[7]

History

[edit | edit source]

Fictionz was co-founded in 2021 by Kendall Morgan, a film producer[8][9][10][11] and former Relativity Media and Untitled Entertainment executive,[8] and Greg Lawrance, a lifestyle and media venture entrepreneur.[12][13][14][15][16][17][18]

The studio’s debut project, Jane Anonymous, premiered in 2022[3] and earned industry recognition, securing a nomination for Best Fiction Podcast from The Ambies/Podcast Academy's Award for Excellence in Audio (presented by the Podcast Academy)[6] and winning the Signal Awards' Listener's Choice Award (Silver) for "General-Scripted Fiction (Drama)."[7]

In 2022, Fictionz produced Blue Is For Nightmares,[1] an audio adaptation of Laurie Faria Stolarz’s bestselling young adult series,[1] which later secured a television adaptation development deal in collaboration with Jonathan Gray’s The Hideaway Entertainment and screenwriter Debbie Moon, with Morgan and Lawrance credited as executive producers.[1]
