Amous Lee (Chinese: 李丹翔) is a veteran property investor, entrepreneur, author, and columnist, originally from Singapore and currently based in Hong Kong. He is the CEO and founding partner of FM Investment Group, an international property investment firm with offices spanning the Asia-Pacific region.[1][2]
Beyond his business ventures, Lee has also made his mark in the media industry. He regularly contributes columns to prominent newspapers and magazines in Hong Kong and has written three books in Chinese, as well as one in English.[3][4]
Career
[edit | edit source]Lee has been involved in project consultancy and marketing for numerous listed developers. He worked at Knight Frank as Head of Greater China and IP Global as Executive Director of International Property Investment. During his tenure, Lee collaborated with prestigious international blue-chip clients, earning recognition for his exceptional sales performance. He received the Knight Frank Greater China Annual Award Top Fee Generator from 2004 to 2011, and IP Global Top Sales Award from 2012 to 2014.[5]
In 2014, Lee founded FM Investment Group in Hong Kong. The company specializes in international real estate investments, particularly in residential projects in key global locations such as Japan, the UK, Thailand, and Malaysia. To further this vision, FMI Japan was established in 2015 as a subsidiary targeting the Japanese market. As a licensed developer, FMI Japan provides end-to-end services, including land acquisition, design, construction, property management, furnishing, and cleaning, with most projects centered in prime areas of Osaka.[6] [5]
Columns and Publications
[edit | edit source]Lee regularly contributes to Hong Kong media on overseas property investment, with columns in East Week, Sing Tao Daily, and Bastille Post, covering markets in Japan, the UK, and other regions.[7][8]
He has also written several books on overseas property investment. His publications include: 翔勝投資之道 (Strategy of Investment by Amous Lee),[9] 買英國樓100問 (100 Questions of UK Property);[10] 買日本樓100問 (100 Questions of Japan Property).[11]
Recognition and Community Engagement
[edit | edit source]In 2018, FM Investment Group was inducted into the Hong Kong Hall of Fame at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards, acknowledging Lee’s role as founder and the firm’s focus on overseas property projects.[12]
Lee has been noted for his involvement in community service. He served as President of the Rotary Club of Channel Islands from 2021 to 2023,[13]and as Executive Vice Chancellor of the Social Enterprise Research Academy between 2020 and 2023.[14]
