The Distinguished Intelligence Medal is awarded by the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency for performance of outstanding services or for achievement of a distinctly exceptional nature in a duty or responsibility.[1]

- ^ "He received the CIA's Distinguished Intelligence Medal, NSA National Security Medal, and other awards of distinction. He served in a dual capacity, both as a sniper and a counterintelligence operator in the field. In October 1983, while his team was under heavy attack, he saved the lives of his handler and three members of his four-man team. His valor in the field was exemplary! He later left the agency to pursue other interests, continuing to work in National Security in Oak Ridge, TN, before retiring from clandestine service.
