David Womark is an American film producer.[1] Womark, along with Ang Lee and Gil Netter, was nominated for an Academy Award for his work on Life of Pi.[2]


Life of Pi was also nominated for multiple Academy, BAFTA and Golden Globe awards including: Best Picture and Best Director and was an American Film Institute official selection for “best movie of the year”. Life of Pi was a critical and commercial success, earning over US$609 million worldwide.[3] Academy Award (Oscar): Nominated for Best Picture for Life of Pi (shared with Ang Lee and Gil Netter) at the 85th Academy Awards (2013).

BAFTA Award: Life of Pi was nominated for Best Picture and Best Director by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.

Golden Globe Award: Life of Pi received nominations for Best Picture and Best Director at the Golden Globe Awards.

American Film Institute: Life of Pi was an AFI official selection for “Best Movie of the Year”. Womark has also produced such films as Deepwater Horizon Jurassic Park III[4] and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.[5]
