Daniel Donche Jr. (born October 25, 1979) is an American author, screenwriter, actor, artist and game designer who has occasionally published under the pseudonym Janden Hale.[citation needed] Under this pen name, he wrote Everwind, a post-apocalyptic book series.[1][2]

Life and career

[edit | edit source]

Daniel Donche Jr. was born on 25 October, 1979, in Columbia, South Carolina. He graduated from Natrona County High School in Casper, Wyoming[3] in 1998. In 2002, he joined the U.S. Air Force as a member of the Tactical Air Control Party.[4] He is the co-founder of Manarchy Magazine[5][6] and also created the HexCam[7] and Octavum[8] camouflage patterns.

Credited as Janden Hale, Donche played a minor role as Lieutenant Garcia in the film Range 15.[9]

Donche designed artwork for the Darkana Tarot,[10] a tarot deck influenced by the art of Banksy[11] that departs from traditional tarot design.[12][13] The deck was featured in a collection of themed short stories on Thunderdome Magazine from June to July 2012.[14] Darkana Tarot won the 2012 Pecto Award for Outstanding First Work of an Illustrator[15] and the Tarosophists Award for best self-published tarot deck of 2012.[16] The deck has been voted as one of the "Top 50 Essential Tarot Decks" by a group of over 13,000 people.[17]
