This article may need to be rewritten to comply with Wikipedia's quality standards, as this is GNIS "community" hogwash. Baker 1995, p. 105 says that this was a post-office, and the best other source is the Arcadia Publishing book on Randolph County which has this as the Crete grain elevator. The second best is an article in Midwestern Folklore from 1991 that says that it was a "depot and a grain elevator on the IB & W Railroad when it came through in 1882". It is an extinct railroad stop that used to have a post-office. (February 2025) |
