This category is for chronicles written in the Greek language containing a universal history, that is, a story of how the world began (usually involving a creation myth; in Greek-language chronicles, this often involved an abridged biblical paraphrase, or a retelling of ancient Greek mythology) up until the chronicler's own time and place. The narrative usually gradually evolved from the universal to the regional and local time and place where the chronicler lived.
