The Hong sisters (Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran) were preparing a drama with the working title Can This Person Interpret? (Lua error: Internal error: The interpreter exited with status 0.) in collaboration with Director Park Jun-hwa (Lua error: Internal error: The interpreter exited with status 0.)Lua error: Internal error: The interpreter exited with status 0. as early as December 5, 2019; it was set to be broadcast on the cable channel tvN.[8] The working title was later revised to Interpretation of Salvation (Lua error: Internal error: The interpreter exited with status 0.), with overseas filming planned to take place in China. However, due to the impact of COVID-19, the project faced delays, and no further updates were provided.[9] The Hong Sisters and Park later worked together on a different drama titled Alchemy of Souls in 2021 and 2022.[10][11]

Production resumed in 2023.
