Callum Andrew Vidler (born 14 October 2005) is an Australian cricketer who plays for Queensland. He is a right-handed batsman and right-arm pace bowler.

Early life

Vidler attended Brisbane Grammar School.[1] He plays club cricket for Valley District Cricket Club.[2] With Queensland, he reached the final of the Under-19 Male National Cricket Championship in December 2023.[3]

Domestic career

A right-arm pace bowler, his bowling has been recorded at a speed of over 150kph.[4][5] He was signed by Brisbane Heat as in December 2023 during the 2023–24 Big Bash League season.[6][7] In February 2024, he was included in the Queensland cricket team first team squad in the Sheffield Shield.[8] He made his first-class debut for Queensland against New South Wales, on 11 March 2024 in Sheffield Shield season.[9] He signed a full-time contract with Queensland in April 2024.[10] His third first class game was the Sheffield Shield Final in March 2025, in which he took 4-64 in South Australia’s first innings, including the wickets of test batters Nathan McSweeney and Alex Carey.[11]

International career

He was the leading wicket taker for Australia in the U19 Ashes in 2023.[6] He was also the leading wicket taker for Australia as they won the 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in South Africa, his haul including 4-29 against England U19 as he finished with 14 wickets at an average of 11.71.[12][13] He was selected for ESPNcricinfo's Team of the Tournament.[14]
