Azeglio (Italian: [adˈdzɛʎʎo, adˈdzeʎʎo]; Piedmontese: Asèj [aˈzɛi̯]) is a comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Turin in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 45 kilometres (28 mi) northeast of Turin.
Azeglio borders the following municipalities: Bollengo, Palazzo Canavese, Piverone, Albiano d'Ivrea, Viverone, Caravino, Settimo Rottaro, and Borgo d'Ale.[2]
Main sights
[edit | edit source]It is home to one or more prehistoric pile dwellings (or stilt house) settlements that are part of the Prehistoric pile dwellings around the Alps UNESCO World Heritage Site.[3]
Main sights also include Azeglio Castle, located on a hilltop in the centre of the village.[4]
