Alphonsea is a genus of plant in the family Annonaceae. It is named after Swiss botanist Alphonse L.P.P. de Candolle.[1]: 411–421  Its species are found in subtropical and tropical regions from south of China to the Malesia bioregion[2] and the western Pacific islands.[1]: 409 

As of April 2014; Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew recognises 38 accepted species:[2]
