In the 2017-18 school year, the White and Blue tiers had left the league to form the Northeast 8 Athletic Conference.[2]
In 2019, Lakeside, Edgewood and Youngstown East left the league in favor of the Chagrin Valley Conference and Steel Valley Conferences respectively.[3]
In 2020, the Blue tier of the AAC announced their departure from the league to form the Mahoning Valley Athletic Conference with the former members of the Inter-Tri County League.[4]
In July 2025, the AAC announced Louisville will be joining the league effective the 2026-27 school year, who was previously independent.[5]
