Albion Riverside is a freehold residential development on the south bank of the River Thames in Battersea, London. It was designed by Foster and Partners and completed in 2003.[1]

Location

[edit | edit source]

Albion Riverside is located on Hester Road, between Albert Bridge and Battersea Bridge. The site is close to Chelsea and Battersea Park.[2][3]

Design

[edit | edit source]

The building was designed by Norman Foster and Foster and Partners. The development consists of a main curved block with floor-to-ceiling glazing and two smaller pavilions arranged around a courtyard.[1] The design makes use of glass façades and open layouts to maximise river views and natural light.[4] The building was developed by Hutchison Whampoa.[3]

Apartments

[edit | edit source]

Albion Riverside includes apartments ranging from one-bedroom units to larger penthouses. Some apartments have private terraces or balconies. Interior features include open-plan layouts and high ceilings.[2][4][5]

Facilities

[edit | edit source]

Residents have access to a private gym, 24-hour concierge, underground parking, and landscaped communal gardens.[6] Knight Frank is listed as a marketing agent for the development.[3]

Public realm and surroundings

[edit | edit source]

The development is part of the wider regeneration of Battersea’s riverside.[6] Albion Riverside is positioned next to the Thames Path and riverside promenade, which provides access for pedestrians along the riverfront.[2] The landscaped courtyard and gardens are designed to complement the river views and improve open space within the site.[4] Its location offers access to local parks and amenities near Chelsea and Battersea.[5]

Market

[edit | edit source]

Albion Riverside is considered a high-end residential development and remains popular with buyers seeking riverside apartments with views of the Thames and Chelsea Embankment.[2][6]
