Acumatica, Inc. provides cloud and browser based enterprise resource planning software for small and medium-sized businesses. Headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, in the Seattle metropolitan area,[3] it has partnerships with BDO USA[4] and Shopify.[5]
History
[edit | edit source]The Acumatica ERP product was introduced in 2008[6] followed a year later by on-premises and SaaS versions.[7] In 2014, when former Microsoft vice president Jon Roskil became its CEO, it launched its xRP cloud platform.[8] and the xRP cloud platform launched.[9]
Two years before opening an office in London,[10] the company was acquired in 2019 by the private equity fund EQT AB.[2] In 2022, it named John Case, a former corporate vice president at Microsoft, as its new CEO.[11]
Acumatica appointed two ERP industry veterans, Zach Nelson and Nancy Harris, to its Board of Directors in 2024.[12] They joined a group of board members that included Case, Kim Clarke, Kathy Crusco, Robert Maclean, Tyler Parker and Jonas Persson.[12]
In 2025 Acumatica was acquired by Vista Equity Partners, a global investment firm focused exclusively on enterprise software, data and technology-enabled businesses, for $2 billion.[13]
Technology

Acumatica's ERP is built with its proprietary web-based xRP platform and can be licensed on-premises / in the cloud, or provided on a SaaS basis.[14][15][16]
The SaaS product runs on Amazon Web Services,[17] Azure[18] and SQL Azure.[14] Licensed software runs on Microsoft Windows Server / SQL Server and applications run as .NET managed code.[19]
Acquisitions
[edit | edit source]In 2020, Acumatica acquired JAAS Advanced Manufacturing Software from JAAS Systems.[20]
In 2022, Acumatica acquired IBS Imperium, a property management application.[21]
Funding
[edit | edit source]In 2011, Acumatica received an unquantified investment from Visma.[22] In 2014, Acumatica raised over $13 million in funding, led by MYOB[23][24] In 2018, the company raised $25 million in Series C funding, led by Accel-KKR.[25]
