Acalypha pendula is a species of subshrub. Native to Cuba, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.[1] It is a dioecious species.[2]: 389

In English, the species goes by the common names firetail chenille plant, dwarf chenille,[2]: 389  or strawberry firetails.[3]
