The 1980 Blue Swords (Pokal der Blauen Schwerter) international figure skating competition was held November in Karl-Marx-Stadt, East Germany. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles and pair skating.

On 14 November 1980, the East German skating pair of Birgit Lorenz and Knut Schubert placed second.[1]
