Usage

By default, the template appears as opposite, i.e. with all lists expanded. To display the template with all lists collapsed, add the parameter |lists=collapsed or |startcollapsed=true, e.g.

To display the template with all lists collapsed save one, use the instructions in the second part of the following section:

Collapsible lists option

This template includes collapsible lists.

• • To set it to display all lists when it appears (i.e. all lists expanded), use:
  •  {{WikiProject History of Science/Sidebar|expanded=all}} or {{WikiProject History of Science/Sidebar|all}}  (i.e. omitting |expanded=).
• • To set it to display one particular list while keeping the remainder collapsed (i.e. hidden apart from their headings), use:
  •  {{WikiProject History of Science/Sidebar|expanded=listname}} or {{WikiProject History of Science/Sidebar|listname}}
  • ...where listname is one of the following (do not include any quotemarks):
  • • background
    • by era
    • by culture
    • natsci
    • math
    • social
    • tech
    • medicine
