[edit source]

I wrote a request for an article to be written about a school and it was declined as advertising. I thought by asking others I was obtaining a neutral article and am confused as to why this was rejected. I provided sources from other publications as opposed to the school's publications. Other schools have wikipedia pages so I would like to know how I can arrange one for this school also.

Hello, IP address. It appears that you submitted your draft using a name or IP address that is different than the one you are using now. You'll need to tell us what submission you are asking about. NewYorkActuary (talk) 13:34, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
Never mind. I just saw the next posting. NewYorkActuary (talk) 13:36, 16 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi, I wrote a request for an article to be written about a school, it was declined. I thought by requesting others to write the article I would obtain a neutral response and am confused as to why it was classes as advertising. I included a lot of information/published sources about the school that were not by the school. Other schools have wikipedia pages, I would like to know how to arrange one for this school also.

Hello, Caitlin. Thank you for your interest in Wikipedia. Your submission was declined two years ago because of concerns about advertising, but it was deleted about 18 months ago because you did no further work on it. Because it has been deleted, we are unable to see exactly what might have raised the concerns about advertising. However, "abandoned" drafts are fairly easy to get restored. You can do so by making a request at WP:REFUND/G13. I hope this response has been helpful. NewYorkActuary (talk) 13:42, 16 March 2017 (UTC)

14:05:13, 16 March 2017 review of submission by Stekalythasinger

Stekalythasinger (talk) 14:05, 16 March 2017 (UTC)

I am enquired concerning my article. Why was it declined?

@Stekalythasinger: People described as "aspiring" in their field generally are unsuitable topics for an encyclopedia. Wikipedia covers notable people, those who have attracted significant attention by the world at large and over a period of time. The way to show notability is by referencing significant coverage in multiple, independent, reliable sources. User:Stekalythasinger/sandbox cites no sources.
Also note that Wikipedia strongly discourages autobiographical articles. And, although user pages such as User:Stekalythasinger may contain limited autobiographical content (name, occupation, and where you're from is usually okay), they are mainly for facilitating work on Wikipedia. They must not be used to promote a person or products. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:02, 16 March 2017 (UTC)

ChrisMarks1928 (talk) 14:37, 16 March 2017 (UTC) How do you remove the orphan from Lydia Ansel page as it now has links?_––––

@ChrisMarks1928: You appear to have answered your own question. If you have further questions about the article, note that this page is for asking about the Articles for creation process. Since Lydia Ansel has already been created, it is outside our scope. Consider asking at the Wikipedia:Help desk instead, where editors will try to answer any question regarding how to use Wikipedia. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:22, 16 March 2017 (UTC)
