I believe I followed the guidelines and format when I entered references. Can you please specify what exactly needs to be corrected in order for the article to be approved?

Hey Khaudacity. When you use <ref>PUT REFERENCE HERE</ref>, instead of putting them at the end of the article, put them in the text of the body. The {{reflist}} at the end tells the computer "put all the references here".
So for example, if I put this:
Johnny told the devil "you son of a gun, I'm the best there's ever been."<ref>The Devil went down to Georgia. (1979) Charlie Daniels. ''Epic Records''.</ref>
What you end up getting is this:
Johnny told the devil "you son of a gun, I'm the best there's ever been."[1]
