Categories

[edit source]

Categories are applied at the very end. Choose from the appropriate sub-category listed at Category:Populated places in Saskatchewan whether it be Category:Cities in Saskatchewan, Category:Towns in Saskatchewan, Category:Villages in Saskatchewan, Category:Resort villages in Saskatchewan, Category:Northern towns in Saskatchewan, Category:Northern villages in Saskatchewan, Category:Northern hamlets in Saskatchewan, Category:Unincorporated communities in Saskatchewan, Category:Organized hamlets in Saskatchewan, Category:Hamlets in Saskatchewan, Category:Special service areas in Saskatchewan, Category:Northern settlements in Saskatchewan, Category:Designated places in Saskatchewan, Category:Rural municipalities in Saskatchewan, etc.

  • If the community is unincorporated, do not assume it is a hamlet. The Government of Saskatchewan only recognizes 20 unincorporated communities as "hamlets" as of January 2018, while recognizing 151 unincorporated communities as "organized hamlets" and 20 others as "special service areas". If a community is neither recognized as a "hamlet", "organized hamlet", nor "special service area" in the Government of Saskatchewan's latest Municipal Directory System report, apply "unincorporated community" as its status.
  • Do not edit this template page directly if you just want to create a new article.
