google news says this says SOMETHING about the college, and a sale possibly implies closure, but can't get past paywall to figure out details, if this institution did close, etc.

Wizzito, please check your inbox again Szmenderowiecki (talk) 14:10, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
PS. The article says that "For decades it served as the home of the Hip Sing Merchants Association in Cleveland’s Chinatown district and other uses including, until 2022, the downtown home of the Cleveland Institute of Electronics trade school." So it no longer belongs to the college Szmenderowiecki (talk) 14:11, 26 December 2024 (UTC)
Got it, thanks! Unfortunately still stuck at a brick wall here, considering literally no RS reported on the college's closure. wizzito | say hello! 01:05, 31 December 2024 (UTC)

The location of service on 27 June 1972 was G Apps and Sons' Funeral Home, 88 Carlisle Street, St Kilda followed by Springvale Crematorium. A deceased search here confirms the crematorium. TSventon (talk) 18:40, 13 December 2024 (UTC)

Chinese paper on Yixian Formation tetrapod fauna

[edit source]

The paper I'm looking for is this[1] I've found multiple paywalled sources here and | here, but I'm not able to get access. If possible, an english-language version would be preferable, but its possible that one does not exist. This would be used for the articles on Shenzhousaurus, Paleobiota of the Yixian Formation, Yixian Formation, and Jehol biota. Its utility as a reference is probably much wider than those four pages, but those are the only ones I currently have active plans to update.

Fred Feast obituaries

[edit source]

{{resolved}}

Hello and Happy New Year! I'm working on the biography of actor Fred Feast. I'd like to source a copy of this PA News obituary that I found in a google group - STREET ACTOR FRED FEAST DIES (https://groups.google.com/g/rec.arts.tv.uk.coronation-st/c/edLIC7j2-gQ)

I'm also keen to see the Times article of 29 June 1999. When searching on the Time Digital Archive, I get two sentences and then it says 'obituary page 23' but I can't seem to get to page 23. The link is here: https://go-gale-com.wcl.idm.oclc.org/ps/retrieve.do?tabID=Newspapers&resultListType=RESULT_LIST&searchResultsType=SingleTab&retrievalId=6ad4a071-2bdb-48f4-a21f-8c7fdd5b89bf&hitCount=17&searchType=BasicSearchForm&currentPosition=15&docId=GALE%7CIF0500232462&docType=Back+matter&sort=Pub+Date+Forward+Chron&contentSegment=ZTMA-MOD2&prodId=TTDA&pageNum=1&contentSet=GALE%7CIF0500232462&searchId=R1&userGroupName=64wcl&inPS=true

Creston saxophone sonata

[edit source]
  1. Frigo, Connie (2005): "Commissioning works for saxophone: A history and guide for performers". University of South Carolina (DMA thesis). Worldcat, Proquest. (Relevant parts are chapters two and three).
  2. Hulsebos, Mark (1989): "Cecil Leeson : the pioneering of the concert saxophone in American from 1921 to 1941". Ball State University (DA thesis). Worldcat. (Should have a section based c. 1930–1940 with references to Creston).
  3. Liley, Thomas (1988): "A teacher's guide to the interpretation of selected music for saxophone". Indiana University (DMus thesis). IUCAT. (Should have a section on the Sonata).
  4. Rascher, Sigurd (1968): "Music for the Saxophone, Part 1". The Music Journal, Vol. 26, Iss. 4. Proquest. (Around page 30).
  5. Sibbing, Robert (1970): "An analytical study of the published sonatas for saxophone by American composers". University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (DEd thesis). Proquest, Worldcat. (Section on Creston starts at page 53).

I'm drafting an article offline on Paul Creston's saxophone sonata (will transfer to my sandbox soon) and came across these references in multiple sources. I've tried to be as specific as possible with pages, etc., but cannot access the ToC for several of these. Priority is Hulsebos, Frigo and Sibbing, but any help is much appreciated.
