The scope of this WikiProject is Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome during Classical Antiquity, most particularly from c. BC 600 to AD 600. Many Wikipedia articles are within the scope of two or more WikiProjects; this prevents any notion of ownership of the articles, and helps improve the attention that each article receives. However, some articles are explicitly not within the scope of this project:
- Greece in the Early Middle Ages and beyond; consider giving attention through WikiProject Middle Ages.
- Greece before the Archaic period; consider giving attention through WikiProject Greece and WikiProject Middle Ages, except:
- Articles from before the Archaic period with broad historical relevance to the period of study; e.g. Greek Dark Ages
- The modern city of Rome.
