The Opera of the Month for May is Rossini's L'italiana in Algeri, which premiered 200 years ago this month...

L'italiana in Algeri needs better referencing, especially the Background section, and we lack articles on its librettist Angelo Anelli and on Serafino Gentili, who created the role of Lindoro.
