(edit · history · last · links · transclusion count · protection log) This template must be followed by a complete and specific description of the request, that is, specify what text should be removed and a verbatim copy of the text that should replace it. This template can be used to generate an {{edit protected}} to get a protected page tagged with an XfD notice. This template should be substituted on the talk page in a new section.
Example:
{{subst:Xfd edit protected|1=Main Page|discussion=Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Main Page|tag=<nowiki>{{subst:afd|Main Page (2nd nomination)}}</nowiki>}}
You can also in short use just:
{{subst:Xfd edit protected|tag=<nowiki>{{subst:afd|Main Page (2nd nomination)}}</nowiki>}}
The page name will be automatically assumed to be the subject page of the talk page.
Parameters:
|tag=– the full wikitext of the tag to be placed on the page. This is the only compulsory parameter. This must be enclosed within <nowiki></nowiki> tags, otherwise the template in the tag would render right on the talk page itself.|1=– (first unnamed parameter) Name of the page. This defaults to the subject page of the talk page.|discussion=– Name of the discussion page. Optional.|rfd=yes– Include this for RfD nominations in order to indicate the closing}}required at the bottom of the page.|type=– The type of edit requested (e.g.partially-blocked). Defaults toprotected.|reason=– The reason for the edit. Defaults toit was protected.
This template automatically adds a signature.
