'''[[Template:{{BASEPAGENAME}}]]''' is used on the category pages of television network original programming categories (such as [[:Category:Starz original programming]]) to explain the inclusion criteria.

Per [[WP:TVCATS]]: {{tq|TV series should avoid network categories when they were not originally produced for that network. Exceptions to this include co-productions (such as The 4400), or when a show changes networks during its original run.}}

== What it does ==
The template will perform the following:
* Adds the text shown above to the top of the category.
* Add a category ToC depending on the category size via [[Template:Automatic category TOC]].
* Adds the category to the network main category, if it exists. Specifically, if the category name contains "original programming" and removing it produces an existing category then it is added. <code>|nocat=true</code> will omit this.
* If a nationality is supplied, it adds the category to the "Original programming by <nationality> television network or channel" category, such as [[:Category:Original programming by American television network or channel]].
