== Usage ==
To be used to provide Tor/Onion links, analogously to {{tl|URL}}. Provide the domain name, without .onion, as the first parameter.

You can use this template in a few forms, depending on if you need the link to have a sub domain, sub-directory, or the link is whitelisted.

Non [[WP:AUTOCONFIRM|autoconfirmed]] users may encounter [[Special:AbuseFilter/231|filter 231]] when attempting to add Onion urls. To prevent this, refrain from putting a space between the template and the url. Write <nowiki>{{Onion URL|URL}}</nowiki>, not <nowiki>{{Onion URL| URL}}</nowiki>.

* For most onion sites, which are automatically blacklisted, use <nowiki>{{Onion URL|facebookcorewwwi}}</nowiki> produces:

* For onion sites where you've obtained a whitelist exemption, you may use <nowiki>{{Onion URL|facebookcorewwwi|whitelisted=yes}}</nowiki> which produces:
