==Usage==
This template is used for referring to books by their [[Library of Congress Classification]] codes. It produces a link to the Library of Congress website.

For example:

*<code><nowiki>{{LCC|Z253.U69}}</nowiki></code> results in "{{LCC|Z253.U69}}"
*<code><nowiki>{{LCC|Z253.U69 1993}}</nowiki></code> results in "{{LCC|Z253.U69 1993}}"
*<code><nowiki>{{LCC|G635.C66 H86 1997}}</nowiki></code> results in {{LCC|G635.C66 H86 1997}}

Previously, it was required to replace spaces in the number with pipes:

*<code><nowiki>{{LCC|G635.C66|H86|1997}}</nowiki></code> results in {{LCC|G635.C66|H86|1997}}

This is no longer necessary, though the newer template remains [[backward compatible]] with the piped format.
