I recently tried submitting my article onto Wikipedia and the reasoning as to why it was rejected was confusing and I would like some clarification and as to how Wikipedia editors would like me to reword the article so that is can be accepted.

Here's the explanation I was given: This submission provides insufficient context for those unfamiliar with the subject matter. (This point makes no sense to me since I put in links to various words that viewers may or may not be aware of like hacking, patented, firewalls etc.)

The article is designed to just be short and informative to the reader therefore there are no other sections.

What I wrote is written below along with references.

Oasis Technology’s Titan is a patented anti-cyber hacking device that protects a business’ data from being jeopardized by hackers.[1] The function of the Titan is to prevent identity theft, stealing and other illegal activities that could devastate a business. I received a message saying that This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources.

I recognize that there will be material that needs to be inserted, this article is quite lengthy and I am not sure what part the reliable sources refers to. I am trying to find online references to books and articles written by Stephen Hill, and have inserted several links where I have found the material. That will be ongoing.

Do you require some supporting material to show that Stephen Hill was actually employed by UNESCO for instance?

Some specific directions would be useful. Thanks!

:Basically that means the subject is notable, but we need sources talking about the subject. You don't need to source every single statement, the key point of notability is his status as Professor emeritus, plus things like Dob are useful. If you have a souce talking about his UNSESCO work that would be icing on the cake.
