I wonder whether the "Modernarch" and "postmodernism" templates should be re-formated so it spans the width of a page. It's accompanyment with images at the moment is always a little forced and awkward - especially if the article is image heavy (which most architecture articles should be IMHO). This article should be titled Gypsum Board. Another editor has intimated that i'm somehow a trade insider because I believe the [[Drywall]] article should be titled Gypsum Board. The [[Construction Specifications Institute]] [[MasterFormat]] refers to this type of product as Gypsum Board because it's a more comprehensive term. 09 21 16 Gypsum Board Assemblies. Drywall is more specific and Sheetrock is a trade name like [[Kleenex]]®.

:I understand your point, but I disagree that drywall is "slang"; it's the term most commonly used in (American) society at large, whether the trade associations wish otherwise or not. The master specification formats use the cumbersome term "Gypsum Board Assemblies", which nobody in their right mind would use in everyday speech. At one time Masterspec and CSI used "Gypsum Drywall" (as distinct from veneer plaster and gypsum sheathing), but presumably were persuaded to change. Drywall seems fine to me as the most widely used term, from an American point of view; the question is whether it's sufficiently global in useage.
