I did that on [[Ohbabynames]] yesterday and after saving it said <code><nowiki>{{Proposed deletion/dated|...|timestamp = 20171105104823|...}}</nowiki></code>. The parameter is undocumented because users should never write it and don't need to know how it works. Many subtemplates have undocumented parameters which only need to be known by editors of the parent template. I have been trying to add a link to the Italian-language version of the article Istituto Italiano di Antropologia to the article [[Journal of Anthropological Sciences]], and I was hoping to get it to display "it" and then take you to the Italian Wikipedia page when you click on this. I edit with the source editor, and always use MM/DD/YYYY format. I use citation templates from the reftoolbar, which fills out the access date automatically with one click and does so in DD/MM/YYYY format. Usually, someone eventually changes the format in the citations to match the rest of the article with a script or something.
