Usage
[edit source]This template will display information quality Importance. The template is generally used on the WikiProjects Importance page. The syntax is as follows:

Parameters
[edit source]|banner=(required) - The name of the WikiProjects Banner.|topic=(required) - set so that the quality categories are: "Foo-Class topic articles".|extraparam=(optional) - Extra parameters to be passed over to the WikiProjects Banner. For example, the name of a taskforce.
Example

will produce:
An article's importance assessment is generated from the importance parameter in the {{WikiProject Food and Drink}} project banner on its talk page:

The following values may be used for the importance parameter to describe the relative importance of the article within the project (see Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Priority of topic for assessment criteria):

| High (adds articles to Category:High-importance Cheeses articles) | High | |
| Mid (adds articles to Category:Mid-importance Cheeses articles) | Mid | |
| Low (adds articles to Category:Low-importance Cheeses articles) | Low | |
| NA (adds articles to Category:NA-importance Cheeses articles) | NA | |
| ??? (articles for which a valid importance rating has not yet been provided are listed in Category:Unknown-importance Cheeses articles) | ??? |
