This template will display information quality Importance. The template is generally used on the WikiProjects Importance page. The syntax is as follows:

Parameters

  • |banner= (required) - The name of the WikiProjects Banner.
  • |topic= (required) - set so that the quality categories are: "Foo-Class topic articles".
  • |extraparam= (optional) - Extra parameters to be passed over to the WikiProjects Banner. For example, the name of a taskforce.

will produce:

An article's importance assessment is generated from the importance parameter in the {{WikiProject Food and Drink}} project banner on its talk page:

The following values may be used for the importance parameter to describe the relative importance of the article within the project (see Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Priority of topic for assessment criteria):

Top (adds articles to Category:Top-importance Cheeses articles)  Top 
High (adds articles to Category:High-importance Cheeses articles)  High 
Mid (adds articles to Category:Mid-importance Cheeses articles)  Mid 
Low (adds articles to Category:Low-importance Cheeses articles)  Low 
NA (adds articles to Category:NA-importance Cheeses articles)  NA 
??? (articles for which a valid importance rating has not yet been provided are listed in Category:Unknown-importance Cheeses articles)  ???
