Template:Contentious topics/aware/doc

This template allows a user to signal their awareness of the contentious topics system, so that it is not necessary to warn them using {{alert}}. This possibility was enacted by motion of the Arbitration Committee in July 2019.

Towards the top of your own talk page, add:

{{Contentious topics/aware|topic_code}}

where topic_code identifies the contentious topic(s) for which you assert awareness, and thus waive the need for notice.

You can specify multiple topics; select them from the full list of topic codes below.

Building your own awareness template

Below is a list of all current CT authorizations formatted into the aware template. This can be added to your user talk page if you wish to declare yourself aware of all current contentious topic designations. (If you do not consider yourself aware of particular contentious topics, you can remove them from the list before saving.)
